Every 8 seconds another innocent rescue dog or cat is put to death, and as shelter animals get older the chances of them being euthanized increase dramatically. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case with Sasha, who was rescued from an animal shelter and given a second chance at life. The saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” apparently does not always ring true because her new owner helped Sasha channel some of her seemingly boundless energy into many new tricks.
Some of these tricks are on display in Sasha’s new gig as an actress in one of Doritos’ strongest 2012 Super Bowl commercial contenders titled “Good Doggie”. Sasha and her owner answered the call for a very special dog put out by producer, Nicholas George, and the director of “Good Doggie”, De Veau Dunn, for their upcoming Doritos Commercial contest entry. Sasha came into the audition and impressed everyone. With her irresistible face and unique markings she was not only able to hold a Doritos bag in her mouth, but also have a showdown sequence with a human actor worthy of a classic Western, and perform facial expressions usually reserved for human beings. Sasha’s abilities had the entire production crew laughing during her audition and they instantly knew she was something special. Now people from around the world are hoping that Sasha, the rescued “underdog”, will be able to go all the way from rescue shelter cold to Super Bowl gold in this year’s Doritos Crash The Super Bowl competition.
BEAUTIFUL DOG
this was cute. very cute.
Loved it! I hope she gets it..was great , cute and funny!
I too have a “rescue dog”, I adopted him from a kill shelter about 5 years ago and he is the most loyal dog I have ever had. On top of being loyal to me and my family, he is now a welcomed family member at the nursing home I work at. He is any AMAZING therapy dog, couldn’t ask for a better dog. I’ll do anything I can to support giving “second hand dogs” a new beginning.
I love Sasha’s color/markings too.
What a great story! You go girl! It’s hard to believe that she was nearly euthanized, who could resist a face like that. I’m so happy that she’s become a big star, now her message will get out there to so many folks that are thinking of getting a new pet for the holidays, or just because they need a buddy will be more likely to choose a rescue dog. Good Luck Sasha, we love you ! ! !

This is so awesome, I will pray for Sasha to be at the Superbowl.
I can not express to all of you how grateful we are for your love and support. It is soo nice to know that there are other passionate pet people out there willing to give of themselves and their time to help support a cause and make a difference. Please help us to spread the word about the commercial, the organization, and the cause so we can make the kind of difference we are hoping to make!!
Thank you all again,
Laurie (Sasha’s Mom)
That’s an adorable and funny commercial! Hope Sasha makes it all the way!!
Good luck-
Amanda
It has been such a blessing for us to have Sasha in our lives. With Sasha’s talent and a little luck we will have an impact on the pet overpopulation problem in this country.

Wow, these kind of stories never seize to light up my day, I believe that all dogs deserve a second and sometimes a third or fourth chance, all it takes is the right person….
Great commercial! I hope she makes it!
I have a pack of rescues but none came with dramatic looks like that. Who is her makeup artist? Yeah no kill!
I have 2 dogs including a rescue. They are my world. Dogs make your family whole – they are definitely my furry children.
Our family has had a rescue dog for a little over a year. She brings a tremendous amount of joy and energy to our lives. We would encourage anyone looking for a pet to give these animals the home they deserve. You will not be sorry.
All of our dogs have been from shelters or rescue organizations.
We could not ask for more loving companions.
Sharing the video.

I have a shelter dog named cuddles. He’s been with us for a little over 4 years and i couldn’t ask for a better dog! Cuddles is a 6 pound poodle/pomeranian mix. He’s filled with love and expresses it everyday <3 I love him so much. Go sasha! Adopt a dog and spay and neuter!!
very cute and funny commercial, i hope you make it to the super bowl commercials and also help other animals, if I could I would save them all, but i am only one it takes everyone.
