Rise of a Rescue Dog

Every 8 seconds another innocent rescue dog or cat is put to death, and as shelter animals get older the chances of them being euthanized increase dramatically. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case with Sasha, who was rescued from an animal shelter and given a second chance at life. The saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” apparently does not always ring true because her new owner helped Sasha channel some of her seemingly boundless energy into many new tricks.

Some of these tricks are on display in Sasha’s new gig as an actress in one of Doritos’ strongest 2012 Super Bowl commercial contenders titled “Good Doggie”. Sasha and her owner answered the call for a very special dog put out by producer, Nicholas George, and the director of “Good Doggie”, De Veau Dunn, for their upcoming Doritos Commercial contest entry. Sasha came into the audition and impressed everyone. With her irresistible face and unique markings she was not only able to hold a Doritos bag in her mouth, but also have a showdown sequence with a human actor worthy of a classic Western, and perform facial expressions usually reserved for human beings. Sasha’s abilities had the entire production crew laughing during her audition and they instantly knew she was something special. Now people from around the world are hoping that Sasha, the rescued “underdog”, will be able to go all the way from rescue shelter cold to Super Bowl gold in this year’s Doritos Crash The Super Bowl competition.
